Professional Experience & Care

Dr. Yap grew up in the Maritimes, and finished high school in Alberta. He completed is medical school at the University of Alberta. Then his Ophthalmology residency also at the U of A. He further completed a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology at the University of Iowa hospitals. Then in 1996 began his practise in Kelowna, BC. He has been an active  part of the city and medical community, serving as the  Ophthalmology director for the University of BC southern medical school.

Meet Ghazal, our amazing Surgical Coordinator and Nurse!Ghazal meticulously arranges all consultations and surgeries, ensuring our lovely patients receive outstanding care. Ghazal has been working alongside Dr. Keith Yap since 2019. Within months of working with us, she became proficient in all aspects of our practice. She now looks after all aspects of Dr. Keith Yaps practice, this includes developing cosmetic surgery. You can always count on Ghazal to give you a very warm welcome and ensure each patient feels truly special. Her dedication and warmth make every patient feel valued and well-treated throughout their journey.

Cassie began her ophthalmology career in 2008 in Vancouver, where she worked alongside multiple physicians and surgeons across the Lower Mainland, providing portable diagnostic testing services.
