Dr. Keith Yap

Dr Yap grew up in the Maritimes and finished high school in Alberta.
He completed is medical school at the University of Alberta.
He completed his Ophthalmology residency also at the U of A.
He further completed a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology at the University of Iowa hospitals. .
He began his practice in Kelowna, BC in 1996.
He has been an active part of the city and medical community.
He serves as the  Ophthalmology director for the University of BC southern medical school .

Along with his partners , Dr Waite and Dr Joe, he formed the newest and largest Ophthalmology clinic in the Okanagan . The clinic has the latest in technology , and the most sub-specialties outside of Vancouver. 

He spends time with his wife, Dr. Mandy Wong  and 3 kids, Victor, Vanessa and Andrew, and 2 dogs, Bento and Mochi. 

Dr Yap enjoys a large variety of sports, playing hockey in the winter, and waterskiing every morning before work during the summer. He plays Pickleball almost daily, which is now surpassing his other interests in tennis, badminton and mountain biking. 

Dr. Yap endeavours to stay up to date in his chosen specialty, and always keeps his patient’s best interests at heart.
